Job Description

Chief Financial Officer & Vice President Corporate Services

SAIT – Calgary, AB

In this multi-dimensional leadership role, you will help shape SAIT’s second century. A global leader in applied education, SAIT transforms students’ lives by equipping them with the relevant education and skills required to build meaningful careers and lead lives of influence.

More than 62,000 learners -- including 15,000 full-time equivalent students -- choose SAIT every year, for its work integrated learning, solution-focused research and enterprising collaborations with partners from around the world.  You will join a passionate and highly motivated senior executive team, focused on creating opportunities for SAIT to grow and for students, faculty, employees and partners to excel.

You will bring current thinking and best practices to a broad portfolio that includes Finance, Information Systems, Commercial Services and Facilities Management.  You will promote and foster collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement within your service-oriented division and across the entire institution. In alignment with SAIT’s strategic priorities, you will oversee the formulation and implementation of financial and risk management practices, technology roadmaps, capital expansion projects and revenue generation opportunities.

As a trusted advisor to the President and the Board of Governors, you will inform strategy and policy and will help position SAIT externally. You will contribute to SAIT’s government, industry and post-secondary partnerships, representing the institution with elected officials, senior administrators and business leaders provincially, nationally and internationally.

Your experience and expertise have helped you grow and even transform organizations. You possess a graduate degree, professional accounting designation and strong reputation for collaborative leadership in a fast-paced and complex operating environment. Previous public sector experience/exposure required and higher-education is an asset.
